Wife, Dog Mom, Landlord, Designer
Before racing back to my hometown to help sick parents, I was lucky to rent a guest house directly across the street from the retail district at Rodeo Drive, in Beverly Hills, California. Back then I worked as a commercial real estate agent. Today I no longer sell properties, but I own and operate an 1888 Savannah historic district apartment building. Work days include interior design, repairing clogged toilets, and saving for emergencies like the deck and roof repair expenses that blindsided us after Hurricane Mathew. Purchasing this property was and still is the scariest career move I ever made because mortgages are due even when apartments are empty.
