Fashion and Travel

The more my husband and I travel the more interested I get in packing less and buying better. I'm actually designing a signature Happy Great Day® jewelry and apparel line because I wanted easy to wear, complementary wardrobe items that effortlessly transition from casual to upscale. My dream jewelry and clothing doesn't exist yet (except in my mind) so for now, I shop carefully, often at resale boutiques. Many of the gently worn, luxurious fashions you'll see me wearing are available through the Store. Thank you for visiting my site. I'd love to hear your comments and ideas for upcoming blog posts.

Read on for vacation and date night fun, ideas to live luxuriously on a budget, and fast, easy-to-make dishes for entertaining... My focus at Happy Great Day is style and travel, whereas my husband will be blogging, tweeting, and posting about travel and food. He's going to cook and take photographs of the best meals from our favorite Instagram foodies. We  live in a tiny condo in Savannah, Georgia, in the heart of America's largest historic district. In addition to our tiny home, we spend a lot of time on the road in our brand new-to-us van. I may be writing about small space living too (?)

Mama sent me a text after a rough day recently that put a smile back on my face. She said, “You don’t hide your challenges. And you see pleasures and glamour in a simple life. You are a survivor. " I certainly hope you'll come to think of me as a THRIVER. My first blog was written just before Valentine's Day as more of an introduction to who I am than a regular entry. It's entitled, “We Want To Paw-Ty.” It’s short. It’s from the heart. It’s about the comeback of my marriage.
